ADGP holds meet with city Police

Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) Alok Mohan on Wednesday held a high-level meeting with officers of the Mysuru Commissionerate here.

The meeting gains significance in the light of Narendra Modi’s maiden visit to the city in January since becoming Prime Minister, to participate in the 103rd Indian Science Congress hosted by the University of Mysore.

At the same time, with festivals and New Year celebrations ahead, the senior IPS officer reportedly issued instructions to the officers (above the rank of Inspectors), who attended the meeting.

In addition, the ADGP reviewed the law and order situation, the status of crime detections and other issues concerning the city police. ×Mysuru City Police Commissioner B. Dayananda, Deputy Commissioners of Police Birje and H.T. Shekar were present. Mr. Mohan had reviewed the Mysuru district police on Tuesday.
